<\/p>\nNow all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.<\/i><\/p>\n
Ephesians 3:20-21, New Living Translation<\/p>\n
Ephesians has been speaking volumes to me lately. It\u2019s one of Paul\u2019s most encouraging letters that he wrote. He wasn\u2019t correcting an issue or a misunderstanding of theology in this book. He was simply wanting to tell the people of Ephesus about how great the Father\u2019s love is for us and what\u2019s He\u2019s made available to us. And those are things that we need to realize.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Life tends to box us in sometimes. We get bad news. We get cut off. We get ignored. We get mistreated. We get sick. We get confused. Essentially, at times it feels like life is crowding in on our very living! And so we get worn down and disheartened.<\/p>\n
But it\u2019s promises like this that can lift our hearts out of their state of dismay and allow us to truly live again. In Christ, we are never at a loss. Though everything in our life could be taken away we have the greatest thing ever!<\/p>\n
And beyond that, we\u2019re not simply victims in our lives. Too often, I feel, that\u2019s how we can tend to view ourselves. But you make a far better hero than a victim. You don\u2019t need to live, talk, or think like you\u2019re losing. You\u2019re on the winning side. Through generations upon generations God has shown His faithfulness to His people. They may face adversity but they seem to keep on going.<\/p>\n
All of this is because we have power available to us. We are not weak and helpless. Well, I mean, we are. In and of ourselves we are weak and helpless human beings who didn\u2019t control when we\u2019d get here and can\u2019t control when or how we\u2019ll leave – much less all that stuff in between. BUT there is a power within those of us who have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us that changes everything<\/i>.<\/p>\n
By faith, He causes us to live this life differently than we would or ever could without Him. Why? Because He is able to accomplish infinitely more than we could ask or think. What a statement the Lord makes in saying that! We can pray boldly, expect much, and then act and live in that constant expectation knowing that our prayers and expectations don\u2019t even come close to God\u2019s capabilities.<\/p>\n
The God who was and is and forever will be. The One who created the smallest atom and the galaxies. The One who has worked miracles both now and before. Is the God who says, \u201cI can do infinitely more!\u201d <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
